Books Train Your Imagination to Think Big!

When children read books, they open up a world of imagination no one could ever dream about. When a child reads, they learn more and begin to think outside the box. Reading also makes you smarter. That’s why it is so important to start a child off early reading.

Reading aloud to children expands their understanding of the world. Learning to read is one of the most important skills that children can learn.

Take Daliyah Marie Arana for example, Daliyah was a 4-year-old girl who has read 1,000 books before she entered kindergarten.

She even managed to read certain college-level texts! This girl is on FIRE! This just proves that reading can expand a child’s mind and make them smarter.

The average American reads around 5 books per year. According to the Children’s Bureau, reading daily to young children can help with language acquisition and literacy skills. So just read, and you will be forever free. Reading to your children in the earliest months stimulates the part of the brain that allows them to understand the meaning of language.

In my opinion, kids should be reading at an early age instead of looking at phone screens.

Reading can get a child a head start in education. The more you read to a child, the more knowledge they absorb. According to the Academy of Pediatrics, more than one in three children start kindergarten without the skills they need to learn to read. About two-thirds of children can’t read proficiently by the end of the third grade.

Here are 9 Reasons Why Reading is Important for Kids:

  1. Reading expands their vocabulary

  2. Reading makes them better at it

  3. Reading helps build independence and self-confidence

  4. Reading Keeps them safe

  5. Reading helps them make sense of the world around them

  6. Reading leads to future academic success

  7. Reading enhances their imagination

  8. Reading improves their grammar

  9. Reading improves their writing skills
